The Cardinals placed 15th at the Doug Georgianni a year ago, shooting rounds of 365-384 for a 749 total. … Gia Puch (Des Plaines, Ill.) returns as the Cardinals' top golfer, after averaging 90.8 in 10 rounds a year ago. Puch put together the best round of the season — and the best of her career — with an opening-round seven-over-par 79 at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. Puch also had an 82 during the first round of last year's Doug Georgianni Invite. … Also back for the Cardinals is Lauren Ulbrich (Rochester, Minn.), who averaged 98.7 in her seven rounds a year ago. …  SMU put together its best round of the season during the opening round of the MIAC Championships, when the Cardinals carded a 364 total.
