Donny Nadeau, SMU Sports Information Office

WINONA, Minn. — Saint Mary's University's Sara Harstad (Chatfield, Minn.) — an NCAA Division III provisional qualifier in the hammer during the 2010 season — earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

Harstad — who earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in the hammer throw at the outdoor championships in May — is among 330 women's student-athletes from 99 Division III schools to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Wartburg led all squads with 12 earning All-Academic status, while the MIAC led all conferences with 48 on the list.

To earn all-academic status, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher and have met either the NCAA Division III indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standing in their respective event.
