WINONA, Minn. —
Brett Jackson enjoyed a banner day during the opening round of the Winona State Triangular Sunday afternoon, as the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota sophomore carded an even-par 72 to help the Cardinal men's golf team to a second-place showing after the opening round of the 36-hole tournament at The Bridges.
Along with Jackson's career-low performance,
David Iten also put together a career round, shooting 80, while
Hunter Rau (83) and
Kyle Brodt (84) rounded out the Cardinals' top four.
Saint Mary's, which finished with a 319 team total, returns to the Bridges on Monday for the final 18 holes of the two-day event.
