Highlights:

Served as Saint Mary’s athletic director and coached football, basketball and baseball at Saint Mary's during his nine years from 1939 to 1948. …In his first year at Saint Mary’s, he guided a sophomore-dominated football team from last place to a co-championship in the Minnesota State College Conference. … During his nine-year reign, SMC football gained a reputation for its tough, scrappy play and almost always grabbed one of the top three positions in the conference. … Coached the 1940 basketball team to its second straight league championship. … Led the 1941 Saint Mary's cagers to the National Intercollegiate Athletic Tournament in Kansas City. … Under his coaching, Saint Mary’s basketball team was the State Conference runners-up in 1942. …Known as the "Little General" for his organized and disciplined style of coaching and his attention to detail. … Before arriving at Terrace Heights, Suech spent three years at Cretin High in St. Paul, where his teams won several championships: three in football, three in baseball and one in basketball.
