Fisher enjoyed a stellar four-year career as a member of the Cardinal fastpitch softball team, capped by a national championship in 2000 and a fourth-place finish in the national tournament a year later. Fisher took the softball world by storm, earning Third-Team All-American honors — not to mention being named SMU’s Outstanding Female Athlete — during her freshman season, when she hit .456, with five triples, five home runs and 33 RBIs. The speedy outfielder followed that up by being named Second-Team All-American as a sophomore, while also garnering NFCA All-Region First-Team honors her first three seasons in a Cardinal uniform and Second-Team accolades as a senior. Named to the NCAA Regional and National All-Tournament Teams in both 2000 and 2001, Fisher’s name is sprinkled throughout the Cardinal record books. She ranks first in career games played (179) and stolen bases (97), while ranking second in total bases (313), and third in hits (208), home runs (17) and RBIs (129).
