WINONA, Minn. — A year ago, Dy-anna Stewart (Eden Prairie, Minn.) stood alone as Saint Mary's University's lone women's hockey representative on the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team.

This year, Stewart earned a repeat performance on the conference's elite team. But this time around, the Cardinal junior isn't alone — not by a long shot.

Stevie Fiek (Rochester, Minn.) and Kaye Collier (Hibbing, Minn.) joined Stewart on the All-MIAC First Team, as the conference announced its post-season awards Thursday. Collier was also named to the MIAC's All-Rookie team, while Katie Cachey (Orland Park, Ill.) was an honorable-mention all-conference selection.

St. Catherine's Michaela Michaelson was named MIAC Player of the Year, while Wildcats' head coach Brad Marshall earned the conference's Coach of the Year honor.

Fiek was the Cardinals' offensive leader in conference play this season, appearing in all 18 MIAC games, recording nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in helping lead SMU to its first post-season appearance since the 2006-07 season. The sophomore forward's nine goals were seventh in conference play, while her 17 points ranked ninth.

Collier, meanwhile, enjoyed a stellar freshman year between the pipes, starting all 18 MIAC games. She led the league in minutes played (1070:16), while ranking third in saves (462), and fourth in goals-against-average (1.74) and save percentage (.937).

Stewart was a key contributor to Collier's low GAA, as the junior logged more time than any other SMU defenseman, while also contributing five assists in SMU's 18 conference games.

Cachey, meanwhile, finished with 12 conference points, as the junior forward scored five goals and added seven assists in 18 MIAC games.

As part of the conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC also announced the fourth annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for women's hockey, which included SMU's Sara Eisenhauer (Kenosha, Wis.). Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field and competition.
