• 2 x 2: Ryan Stoynich (Calgary, Alberta) and Tommy Stang (Mendota Heights, Minn.) each picked up two assists in the Cardinal men’s hockey team’s 3-1 win over Concordia last Saturday.
• 2 + 1 = 3: Bud Winter (St. Louis, Mo.) scored his first two collegiate goals, and added an assist for his first career three-point game in the Cardinal men’s hockey team’s 3-1 conference-opening win over Concordia last Saturday
• 3-0: The Saint Mary’s men’s hockey team scored three second-period goals in beating Concordia 3-1 last Saturday, pushing their season-opening winning streak to three straight. It’s the first time SMU has opened the season with three straight wins since the 2002-03 season.
• 33: Connor Close (Des Moines, Iowa) stopped 33 of the 37 shots he faced in his first collegiate start in goal for the Cardinal men’s hockey team last Tuesday in a 5-4 win over Bethel.
