• 2: Saint Mary’s boasted a pair of MIAC Athletes of the Week last week. Bud Winter of the Cardinal men’s hockey team earned his second AOW of the season, while track and field’s Sydney Klausler landed her first AOW honor.
• 3+ x 2: The Cardinal men’s hockey team’s 4-3 loss to St. Thomas last Tuesday was their second straight overtime game — SMU beat Bethel 6-5 in OT on March 6.
• 5: Sam Hanson (Eau Claire, Wis.) had a goal and an assist in the SMU men’s hockey team’s 4-3, overtime loss to St. Thomas last Tuesday. The sophomore has now recorded five points in the Cardinals’ last two games.
• 35: Al Rogers (North Haven, Conn.) equaled his season-high with 35 saves against St. Thomas last Tuesday’s 4-3 overtime loss for the SMU men’s hockey team. It was the third time this season the senior has recorded 35 saves in a game — with all three coming against St. Thomas.
