Gardner collected 29 kills (3.62 kills-per-set) and hit .278 in leading the Cardinals to a 1-1 record in their final two regular-season matches last week. Gardner, who leads the Cardinals in kills (3.53 / 3.18 kps) picked up 14 kills in SMU's 3-1 loss to No. 22 St. Olaf last Wednesday then followed that up with a 15 kill effort in the Cardinals' MIAC Tournament-clinching 3-1 win over Gustavus on Saturday.
