Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will build and sustain broad-based excellence in the areas of competitive success, academics, and community service.  

Cardinal athletics will be intertwined through all five goals of the Building A Future Full of Hope 2025 Strategic Plan, with increased emphasis placed on Goal 4: Excel Through Excellence and Relevance and goal 5: Steward Resources. 

Connecting to the university’s Lasallian Catholic mission, our success will be defined through annual metrics in the areas of annual postseason competitive success within the MIAC, external revenue generation enhancing our department, and community service hours performed among our staff and student-athletes.
