Mission:
In support of the mission of the University and that of the Athletic Department, it is our mission to aid our student-athletes in their pursuit of athletic and academic excellence. Our primary emphasis is to decrease the risk of athletic injury through the improvement of athletic performance. Using scientifically proven methods of training, we will push our student-athletes to achieve their absolute best on and off the field of competition. They will learn through hard work and discipline that they can achieve anything they set out to do.

Philosophy:
Ground Based Movements:
    • Athletic movements are performed will applying force to the playing surface.
    • As your ability to apply force increases, you will be able to jump higher, run faster, and move more efficiently. All of which are vital to the success on the field of competition.

Multi-Joint Movements:
    • Athletic movements require a combination of joints to be used to complete the desired outcome.
    • Jumping, running, or throwing require a very a multitude of body parts to work together to produce the force required.
    • We will teach coordination in the weight room to better prepare you for the field of competition.

3-Dimensional Movements:
    • Sports, not matter the field of competition, are played in 3-dimensions.
    • This type of training allows the body to move freely through space in any form of athletics.
    • You must be able to stabilize your body up and down, front to back, and side to side.
    • This type of training is also a major key in the prevention of athletic injuries.
