Burfeind was a one-man wrecking crew in the SMU men's basketball team's three games last week, averaging 21.3 ppg and 4.3 rpg. The senior opened the week with a 14-point effort against Hamline last Monday — his first game back after suffering a concussion — then added 24 points against St. Thomas on Wednesday and a season-high 26 points against Crown on Saturday.

Burfeind heads into the semester break leading the team with a 20.3 ppg scoring avearge. He has scored in double figures in each of the five games he's played in, and has now eclipsed the 20-point barrier 11 times in his career.
