Ryan was the Cardinals' offensive highlight during SMU's two losses to Augsburg in the teams' Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener last Friday. The sophomore second baseman hit .625,, collecting five hits in eight at-bats, while also scoring three runs and driving in a run. Ryan went 1-for-3 in SMU's 5-2 Game 1 loss to the Auggies, then followed that up with a season-high four hits in five at-bats, scoring twice and stealing a base in the Cardinals' 13-12 Game 2 loss.
For the season, Ryan is hitting .368 (14-for-38) with nine runs and seven RBIs. He has also walked four times and stole three bases on three attempts.
