After being held without a goal through the first seven games of the men's hockey season, Wasell scored a pair of goals in the Cardinals' two nonconference games against Aurora last weekend.

The freshman forward netted his first collegiate goal in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Spartans, then added a goal and two assists in the Cardinals' 11-2 Game 2 victory.

Wasell heads into the holiday break with two goals and three assists for five points in nine games.
