Betzold was nearly untouchable inside the pitching circle during the Cardinal fastpitch softball team's 10 games in Clermont, Fla., last week.

The senior right-hander compiled a 3-4 record and 2.36 earned-run average in 53.1 innings of work—including seven complete games and a pair of shutouts.

With his seven complete games, Betzold, who picked up 35 strikeouts—including a season-high eight against Penn State-Brandywine on March 4—pushed her career complete-game record to 63.

Betzold also made her presence felt at the plate, hitting .324 (11-for-24) with three doubles and three RBIs
