Betzold enjoyed a banner weekend for the Cardinal fastpitch softball team, hitting .308 at the plate, while compiling a 2-2 record and 1.68 ERA in the pitcher's circle in helping Saint Mary's to a 2-2 showing.

Offensively, the senior went 4-for-13 with a double, an RBI and one run scored.

In the pitcher's circle, Betzold made three starts, tossing 25.0 innings, allowing just nine runs on 18 hits, while walking seven and striking out 17. The senior notched her 18th and 19th complete games in the opener against both Hamline and Augsburg last weekend.
