Michener closed our her collegiate soccer career in style, scoring four goals and adding two assists the Cardinals' two games last week.
Michener kicked off her week with a two-goal, two-assist performance in Saint Mary's 5-3 nonconference win over Ripon last Wednesday, before netting both of the Cardinals’ goals — pulling SMU out of a 2-0 second-half hole — in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Concordia.
Michener — who had scored just one goal in her first two seasons in a Saint Mary's uniform — closed out the season scoring seven goals in the Cardinals’ last four games.
Fueled by her sizzling finish to the season, Michener closed out her senior campaign leading the team with 14 goals, while also lead the team in points (32) and sharing the top spot in assists (4).
Michener’s 14 goals and 32 points — ranking her third and fourth, respectively, in the MIAC — were both the most in a single season since Amy Sibik netted 14 goals and recorded 32 points during the 2009 season.
