Sonday was unbeaten in both singles and doubles in helping the Saint Mary's women's tennis team to back-to-back conference wins over St. Olaf and St. Catherine last weekend.
Sonday — who owns four-match winning streaks in both singles and doubles — dropped just four games in posting a pair of wins at No. 1 singles, beating St. Olaf's Sabrina Barboza 6-1, 6-1 last Friday, before adding a 6-0, 6-2 win over St. Catherine's Bri Door the following afternoon.
The senior also teamed with Colleen Lois (Green Bay, Wis.) to pick up a pair of victories at No. 1 doubles, beating winning 8-3 against St. Olaf and 8-4 against St. Catherine.
Sonday, who has played 70 straight matches at No. 1 singles for the Cardinals, share the team with seven dual-match singles wins, while also sharing the team lead with seven doubles wins.
