Beamer continued to dominate the high jump competition this seaosn, as the sophomore shattered the 14-year-old school mark in the high jump for the Cardinal men’s track and field team at last Thursday’s Saint Mary’s Open.

Beamer, who broke the school's indoor high jump record earlier this year, cleared 2.02 meters — easily besting the old mark, set of 1.97m, set by Rob Friendt in 2005.
