Baab recorded 114 digs last week in leading the Cardinal volleyball team to a 2-3 record — including a 2-2 showing at the Coe Invitational last weekend.
Â
Baab kicked off her stellar week by recording a career-high 42 digs in the Cardinals’ 3-1 loss to Hamline in the team’s conference-opener against Hamline last Wednesday. It was the most digs in a match since Theresa Perrini had 41 against Augsburg in 2008, and was just six digs shy of Perrini’s single-match school-record 48, set against Loras, also during the 2008 season.
Â
Baab followed up that effort by posting 72 digs in the Cardinals’ four matches at the Coe Invitational, posting 15 digs against Loras, 23 vs. Ripon, 12 against UW-Eau Claire and 22 vs. Cornell.
Â
The Cardinal sophomore leads the team with 257 digs through 14 matches, while also recording 30 assists, 12 aces and one kill.
