Szymanski was an offensive juggernaut in the Cardinal men’s soccer teams two games last week, accounting for three of Saint Mary’s six goals.
The sophomore scored back-to-back second-half goals in Saint Mary’s 5-2 nonconference loss to Simpson, before netting the game-winner three minutes into overtime in the Cardinals’ 4-3 conference win over Augsburg last Saturday.
Szymanski — whose two goals against Simpson marked the first multiple-goal game of his collegiate career — has now scored a goal in three of the Cardinals’ last four games and is second on the team in both goals (4) and points (9).
