Cave put together his second dominating performance in leading the Cardinal men’s basketball team to an 80-74 win over St. Olaf last Saturday — snapping Saint Mary’s 12-game losing streak against the Oles in the process.

The junior poured in a team- and game-high 21 points against the Oles shooting 50 percent from the field — knocking down 9 of 18 field goal attempts — while going 2-for-3 from the free throw line. He also led the team in rebounds (6), assists (6), and blocked shots (2).

Cave, who leads the conference with a 22.5 ppg scoring average, has now scored 20 or more points in each of his last five games. Along with Saturday’s 21-point effort, he netted 24 points against Crown on Nov. 15, and closed out the 2018-19 season scoring 29, 36, and 23 points.
