Ziakas turned in a career performance in helping the Cardinal women’s hockey team to a 2-2 overtime tie against fourth-ranked Gustavus last Friday at the Saint Mary’s Ice Arena.
 
The junior goalie finished with a career-high 44 saves — including 19 in the third period and all six in the five-minute overtime — to help the Cardinals earn the conference point against the nationally ranked Gusties.
 
Ziakas, who has now stopped 30 or more shots five times in her collegiate career, picked up where she left off on Saturday, stopping 23 of the 24 shots she faced in two periods of relief.
