Hafiz played a key role in the Cardinal women’s hockey team’s sweep of St. Norbert in their final nonconference series of the season, scoring once and assisting on two others.
The senior forward picked up an assist in last Friday’s 4-2 win over the Green Knights, before scoring once and assisting on the overtime game-winner in last Saturday’s 2-1, sweep-clinching victory.

The Cardinals (5-6-2 overall) return to conference play next weekend with a pair of games against St. Thomas. Saint Mary’s travels to St. Thomas Arena in Mendota Heights, Minn., for a 7 p.m. matchup against the Tommies on Friday, with the two teams returning to the Saint Mary’s Ice Arena for the 2 p.m. rematch the following afternoon.
