Swimming in front of the home crowd for the final time this season, McClay turned in a stellar performance, picking up a pair of wins in the Cardinal men’s swim team’s dual-meet loss to Hamline last Saturday.
Â
McClay touched the wall firsts in the 200 freestyle, stopping the clock in 1:51.40, while adding a second first-place showing — this one in the 100 freestyle, where he posted the day’s top time of 49.11
Â
McClay and the Cardinals are now off until Feb. 14-18, when they head to the U of M Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn., to take part in the four-day, season-ending MIAC Championships.
