Tommy Stang has been a key cog in the Saint Mary’s University men’s hockey team’s offensive machine, and last weekend was no exception.

Stang — the team’s points leader — picked up points on five of the Cardinals’ eight goals in their Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference split against Hamline last weekend.

The junior forward assisted on Ryan Stoynich’s (Calgary, Alberta) goal in last Friday’s 2-1 loss to the Pipers, before adding two goals and two assists in the Cardinals’ 7-2 win in the rematch.

Stang’s two-goal, four-point effort against the Pipers marked the second time in two weeks that he has achieved that feat — having also scored twice and assisted on two others in a 7-1 Saint Mary’s win over No. 10 Augsburg on Jan. 31.
