Vesel closed out the season in impressive fashion, averaging 23.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in the Cardinal women’s basketball team’s final two games of the regular season.
 
Vesel kicked off the week scoring 27 points on 11 of 20 shooting from the field and a 5-for-6 effort from the free throw line in the Cardinals’ 75-66 overtime win against Gustavus last Wednesday. The 27-point performance was one shy of her career-high and marked the sixth time this season the sophomore has eclipsed the 20-point barrier.
 
Vesel nearly had 20-point effort No. X four days later, going 6-for-13 from the field with three 3-pointers and adding a perfect 4-for-4 showing from the free throw line in scoring a team-high 19 points in Saint Mary’s season-ending loss to No. 20 St. Thomas.
 
For the week, Vesel scored 46 points (23.0 ppg) and adding seven rebounds (3.5 rpg), while also dishing out four assists and adding four steals.
