Chow proved to be a double-edged sword for the Cardinal fastpitch softball team during their 12-game spring trip — baffling opposing hitters while in the pitcher’s circle, and feasting on opposing pitchers while at the plate.
Â
Chow hit .355 in 10 games, going 11-for-31 with a double and two runs scored. She also drove in six runs, compiled a .387 slugging percentage and a .429 on-base percentage. In the pitcher’s circle, Chow amassed a 7-2 record and 1.20 earned-run-average, tossing a team-leading 52.2 innings with five complete games. She surrendered just nine earned runs, while walking 15 and striking out 35.
Â
Chow and the Cardinals (8-4 overall) are now off until March 28-29, when they kick off Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play — facing Hamline on the road on March 28, before hosting Macalester at the Saint Mary’s Field the following afternoon. Â
