Chow was her own one-two punch for the Saint Mary’s fastpitch softball team last week, carrying a .462 batting average and a 1.02 ERA in the Cardinals’ four games.
Chow opened the Cardinals’ four-game conference weekend, going 4-for-8 with four RBIs and a run scored in SMU’s back-to-back 8-3 wins over Hamline, before adding two more hits in five plate appearances against Macalester the following afternoon.
And in the pitcher’s circle, the senior right-hander was dominant, picking up both wins against Hamline — tossing 12 of the team’s 14 innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits, while striking out nine in the sweep. Chow pitched 1 2/3 innings against Macalester, allowing one run on two hits.
