It was a career day for the Cardinals Luke Gilbertson, who scattered six hits in tossing a complete-game shutout in the SMU baseball team’s 6-0, Game 2 win over Macalester last Thursday.
 
Gilbertson, who had never tossed a couple game in his collegiate career, threw all nine innings against the Scots, allowing just six hits — all singles — while walking two and striking out three.
