Schultz was red-hot for the Saint Mary’s University fastpiatch softball team, hitting .429 and boasting a .714 slugging percentage in the Cardinals doubleheaders against Saint Benedict and Concordia.
 
The senior catcher picked up one of SMU’s eight hits in its two losses to Saint Benedict last Thursday, before erupting for five hits in seven at-bats — not to mention five RBIs and a pair of runs scored — against Concordia two days later.
 
Two of Schultz’s six hits last week were for extra bases — including her first collegiate home run in Game 1 against the Cobbers last Saturday.
