Nguyen posted shutouts No. 5 and No. 6 on the season in leading the Cardinal women’s soccer team to back-to-back 1-0 victories over Gustavus and Concordia.
 
Nguyen, who has allowed just one goal all season, kicked off her week by stopping all five Gustavus shots in the Cardinals’ 1-0 overtime win over the Gusties, and followed that up with a two-save shutout against Concordia three days later.
 
For the season, Nguyen — the conference leader in both goals-against-average (0.12) and save percentage (.970) — has stopped 32 of the 33 shots she’s faced.
 
Nguyen and the Cardinals step out of conference play on Wednesday, hosting UW-River Falls in a 6 p.m. contest at Ochrymowycz Field, before returning to MIAC action on Saturday at Augsburg.
