WINONA, Minn. — To say that Brooklyn Paulson (Holmen, Wis.) enjoyed a dominant week would not be a stretch of the imagination by any means.
The senior guard tormented three conference defenses for the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team, averaging 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in the Cardinals’ contests against Augsburg, St. Catherine and Concordia.
Paulson kicked off her week with a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double against Augsburg last Monday, and followed that up with her second straight double-double — a 14-point, 11-rebound showing two days later against St. Catherine.
There would be no third consecutive double-double in Saturday’s matchup against Concordia, but Paulson did pour in 20 points — marking the fifth time this season the senior has netted 20 or more points in a game.
For the week, Paulson shot 35.4 percent from the field (17-for-48) with four 3-pointers and was a near-perfect 11-for-13 from the free throw line. She is also chipped in 25 rebounds, six assists, six steals and a pair of blocked shots.
