Paulson scored career-high 32 points, including tying a single-game program record with eight 3-pointers — and became just the 12th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
Â
And, perhaps overshadowed by the Herculean performance, Paulson’s effort also helped the Cardinals deal Gustavus just its third conference loss of the season with a 67-64 SMU victory.
Â
Paulson was unstoppable against the Gusties in her first game of the week, going 10 of 19 from the field — including those record-tying eight 3-pointers — and was 4-for-4 from the free throw line en route to her career-best 32-point effort.
Â
For the week, Paulson went 11-for-27 from the field with eight 3-pointers and a 4-for-4 effort from the line. She averaged 17.0 ppg and collected 10 rebounds (5.0 rpg).
