Becker had to put in a little extra work in both of her singles matches for the Cardinal women’s tennis team last weekend, winning in three-set tiebreakers at No. 3 singles in helping SMU lock up back-to-back 5-4 wins over Macalester and Bethel.
 
In both her matches, Becker needed to rally from a set down, posting a marathon, 1-6, 6-1, 10-6 victory at No. 3 singles in last Saturday’s 5-4 win over Macalester, and followed that up with another come-from-behind win, this time a 2-6, 6-2, 10-4 victory — also at No. 3 — in the Cardinals’ second straight 5-4 victory.
