Carey was an offense spark for the Cardinals in their conference doubleheader against Saint Benedict in the teams’ lone games last week, as the junior went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs. Carey went 1-for-2 in SMU’s Game 1 loss to the Bennies, while adding two hits in three at-bats and driving in two runs in the nightcap.
