Goettelman scored a career-high 23 points in the Cardinal women’s basketball team’s 81-79 overtime loss to UW-Stevens Point last Wednesday. The sophomore finished 8 of 11 from the field with one 3-pointer and a 6-for-7 showing from the free throw line, while also dishing out a season- and career-high seven assists.

The 23-point effort marked the second time this season — and third time in her collegiate career — that Goettelman has eclipsed the 20-point mark.

Goettelman and the Cardinals (2-5 overall) are now off until Dec. 29-30, when they square off against Penn State-Behrend and MIT at the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn.
