Fresh off her second straight All-MIAC season a year ago, Ciarra McNally (Lewiston, Minn.) picked up right where she left off to kick off her senior campaign, recording a team-leading 69 kills in leading the Cardinal volleyball team to a 3-1 showing at the Sugar Loaf Classic.
 
McNally — who closed out 2022 sitting second in the MIAC in kills with 346 kills — recorded 10 or more kills in all four of the Cardinals matches last weekend. She kicked off the tournament with 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Marian and 19 kills in a sweep of Lawrence last Friday, before adding a season-high 24 kills in a 3-2 victory over UMN Morris and 10 kills in a 3-0 loss to Elmhurst the following afternoon.
 
Along with her 69 kills, McNally — who posted two kill-dig double-doubles — also compiled 41 digs and three service aces.
