Heitzman has been the Cardinals’ leading scorer all season, and this past weekend against Augsburg was not different, as the freshman sharpshooter netted three of the team’s five goals in a sweep of the Auggies.
 
Heitzman kicked off the weekend recording her second multiple-goal game of the season, scoring SMU’s first two goals in a 3-2 Cardinal win. The following afternoon, she was at it again, netting one of the team’s two goals in a sweep-clinching, 2-1 victory. For the season, Heitzman has now scored nine goals in eight games — and has recorded at least one point in every game this season.
