Ziegler was a 3-point machine in the SMU men’s basketball team’s two games last week, knocking down 13 treys ­— including tying the single-game program record with eight 3-pointers against Augsburg last Wednesday. The senior guard also matched his career high, scoring 32 points in SMU’s 89-80 win over the Auggies. For the week, Ziegler — SMU’s all-time leader in 3-points with 191 — averaged 23.5 ppg, finishing 16-for-35 from the field, including 13-for-30 from downtown, and hitting on 2 of 3 free throws.
