French was an offensive juggernaut for the Saint Mary’s fastpitch softball team last weekend, leading the Cardinals to a 3-1 mark — with wins over Martin Luther, Bethany Lutheran and Luther, while dropping a 5-4 eight-inning decision to No. 4 Coe.
 
The sophomore finished the four-game weekend with a .692 batting average, going a sizzling 9-for-13 with five runs scored and her first home run of the season, while driving in seven runs and boasting a .923 slugging percentage.
