Boomgaarden was unbeatable for the SMU women’s tennis team last weekend, collecting singles and doubles wins in both Cardinal matches, extending her winning streaks to four, in leading SMU to an 8-1 win over UMN Morris last Saturday and a 5-4 victory vs. Concordia the following afternoon.
Boomgaarden kicked off her weekend with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles, not to mention an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles, against UMN Morris, before outlasting CC’s Lizzie Allen, 5-7, 6-1, 10-8 to seal SMU’s 5-4 win over the Cobbers and teaming with Peyton Buerman (Shawano, Wis.) for an 8-5 victory at No. 3 doubles.
