SAUGUS, Mass. – Former Saint Mary's men's hockey player Josh Misiewicz scored in the Reeve Classic with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team secured a 6-2 win over Canada in the second and final game of the 2025 Reeve Hockey Classic at Kasabuski Rink on Thursday.
Canada opened the scoring with a breakaway goal at 6:38 of the first period. The U.S. quickly responded, tying it at 2:16. Canada jumped ahead once more 2-1 with 36 seconds left in the first period.
In the second, U.S tied it 2-2 at 5:25, scoring from close range and eventually took the first lead at 7:45.
Misiewicz extended the U.S. lead to 4-2 with 2:33 left in the period, capitalizing on a loose puck in the slot and the U.S. held onto the lead and never looked back to secure the 6-2 win.
The Saint Mary's alum has represented Team USA in two Paralympic Winter Games (gold medals in 2018 and 2022), four World Championships (gold in 2023, 2021, and 2015; silver in 2024), and four Para Hockey Cups (first place in 2023, 2022, 2017, and 2015).
The 2025 Reeve Hockey Classic was a two-game series between the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team and Canada, held from February 19-20 at Kasabuski Rink in Saugus, Mass.
Organized by the NHL in collaboration with USA Hockey and Hockey Canada, the event supports the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and is part of the celebrations surrounding the 4 Nations Face-Off, which took place from February 12-20 in Montreal and Boston.
