BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced the 2026 MIAC Softball Awards on Monday, including the All-Conference, honorable mention, and All-Playoff Teams, along with individual honors.

The awards keep coming in for the No. 11 ranked Saint Mary's softball team as they are still in the hunt for a national championship.

The Cardinals recorded six on the MIAC All-Conference honorees list, two received Honorable Mention honors, and adding the cherry on top, three Cardinals landed on the All-Playoff team.

Peyton Berg, Megan McGinnis, Abbie Stigler, Alexandra Gerber, Makayla Steffes, and Kenzie Gatz each earned the prestigious All-Conference recognition this spring season. Karli Zetah and Naleyah Bork each tabbed Honorable Mention honors.

Berg, the senior from Chatfield, Minn., is a four time All-Conference selection as the team leader in batting average at .435, good for fifth in the conference, and leads the team with an on base percentage of .514, good for fourth in the conference. Earlier this season, she shattered the program record of career RBIs with 169 and counting.

She has started all 47 of the softball team's games this season earning First-Team All-Region IX honors and is having a record season with still so much ahead for the senior. She currently is second of all time in putouts with 800.

Her fellow senior teammate, Stigler, is earning back-to-back All-Conference recognition after starting all 47 games for the Cardinals this season. She connects with Berg quite often as the shortstop has 47 assists to Berg this season with a career best .966 fielding percentage while fielding nine double plays.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis., native is boasting a slugging percentage of .541 with 22 RBIs her senior season. Stigler has racked up 11 doubles in her 98 at bats with an on base percentage of .383.

McGinnis is also earning back-to-back All-Conference honors after starting all 47 games alongside Stigler and Berg. The second baseman from Appleton, Wis., is having a breakout season at the plate. She has a batting average of .429 and a slugging percentage of .654 for a total of 57 hits to lead the team and sit third in the conference.

She also has 14 doubles on the season, good for first on the team and fifth in the conference, and has a total of 15 stolen bases. McGinnis holds a .964 fielding percentage turning four double plays for First-Team All-Region IX honors.

Steffes is earning her third consecutive All-Conference honor as the team's star utility player. The hometown kid has started either on the mound or at third base for all 47 games this season with a .420 batting average and a .484 on base percentage, when she gets on the base, she makes things happen as she leads the league in stolen bases with 31.

Steffes has also earned First-Team All-Region IX honors for back-to-back seasons with an ERA of 1.58 for 21 wins on the mound in her 29 appearances. She has struck out 147 of the 502 batters faced, limiting her opponents to just .197 batting average.

Her teammate Gatz is also earning First-Team All-Region IX honors for her impact on the mound and back-to-back All-Conference honors. The junior from Oswego, Ill., is a three time pitcher of the week with 18 wins already this season. She has made 32 appearances, started 20 of them, and struck out 124 batters.

Gatz has four shutouts and 11 complete games for an ERA of 2.20. At the plate, she has a slugging percentage of .453 for 13 RBIs on 18 hits. She was the star of the show helping propel the Cardinals to Super Regionals pitching a complete game in game seven of Regionals while going 3-for-4 from the plate.

Gerber is the last Cardinal to earn All-Conference honors as her first post season award for her all around effort for the team. The center fielder from Burnsville, Minn., has started all 47 games for the team with 57 putouts and is tied for the team and conference high bases stolen with 31 alongside Steffes.

Gerber is a monster at the plate, with a batting average of .405, she 53 hits this season for 19 RBIs but it's her effective base running that makes her so dangerous.

Bork has earned Honorable Mention for the second consecutive season as the designated player. The senior from DePere, Wis., has started all but two games this season and even made a starting appearance as the pitcher once where she got the win. Bork has a career best slugging average of .596 percent and career best batting average of .383 for 36 hits in her 94 at bats. She has 26 RBIs and is second on the team in home runs with five this season.

Earning her postseason award is junior Zetah as the quickest on the team, Zetah Cheeta. Zetah, the outfielder from Goodhue, Minn., has played in 44 games, starting 32,  this season with a perfect fielding percentage. She has swiped 20 bases and has a .400 on base percentage. She has five sacrifice hits, second on the team, in her 60 at bats.

After making it to their third straight MIAC Championship appearance, the Cardinals also tabbed three on the All-Playoff team. McGinnis, Steffes, and Brianna Nusbaum each earned the honor as being the crucial pieces to getting the team back to the championship, where they ultimately fell to Saint Benedict.

McGinnis went 5-for-7 from the plate with a double and an RBI over the weekend tournament. Steffes pitched a season best and complete game in the win over the Oles' striking out 12. She went on to record two RBIs and swiped two bases.

Nusbaum, the right fielder from Spring Lake Park, Minn., earned her first postseason honors with the All-Playoff nod after creating contact in every at bat during the tournament. She went 5-for-5 from the plate, two RBI's on a triple and a home run, and stole a base in the championship.

The Cardinals, a whopping 40-7, are still competing for a national title and are gearing up to host Super Regionals this Thursday and Friday. They will take on Simpson College in the teams first meeting this season.
