Pederson enjoyed a stellar week in leading the SMU men's basketball team to a 1-1 showing in its two Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games, averaging a team-best 17.5 ppg and adding six assists as the Cardinals beat Macalester and fell to Concordia.

Pederson opened the week with a career performance in a 67-51 win over Macalester last Thursday, as the junior knocked down his first seven field goal attempts — including five 3-pointers — en route to his 29-point performance. He would follow that up with six points and three assists in the Cardinals' 68-47 loss to Concordia.

For the week, Pederson went 10 of 19 from the field — including 5-for-6 from behind the 3-point line — and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line, while also dishing out six assists and tallying three steals.
