Hynes turned in his best performance of the season — not once, but twice — as the Cardinal junior carded back-to-back 75s to finish fifth overall and lead the Saint Mary's University men's golf team to an 11th-place finish at the 17-team Augsburg Invitational.

Hynes has now post four straight rounds in the 70s, starting with a 78 against Macalester and a 79 at the Coulee Region College Invitational.
