Franke put together a stellar performance in leading the Cardinal women’s cross country team to a 21^st-place showing at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational last Friday.
 
The senior was the first Cardinal to cross the finish line, clocking a time of 24.21.7 — a six-kilometer time that was not only her season-best, but also the fastest time of her collegiate career.
 
Franke — whose previous-best 6K time was a 24:27 effort at last year’s NCAA Central Regional — has now been the Cardinals’ top finisher in each of their three meets this season, and in 12 of the team’s last 14 meets over the past three seasons.
