Schmidt had a busy weekend for the Cardinal volleyball team, compiling 48 assists and 21 digs in SMU’s matches against Macalester and No. 23 Bethel.
 
Schmidt opened the weekend posting her team-leading seventh double-double of the season, recording 34 assists and 13 digs in a five-set loss to Macalester, before adding 14 assists and eight digs the following evening against the nationally ranked Royals.
 
Schmidt and the Cardinals close out their season with a pair of home matches this week, entertaining St. Olaf at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, before welcoming Gustavus to the Saint Mary’s Gym for a 7 p.m. match on Saturday.
