Ruskowski had a busy week between the pipes for the Cardinal men’s hockey team, stopping 82 shots in SMU’s three nonconference contests.
 
The freshman kicked off the season making 11 saves in 44 minutes of relief in a 4-1 loss to Lawrence last Wednesday, before stopping 28 shots in the Cardinals’ 4-3 victory over UW-Superior two nights later. And Ruskowski capped his busy week with the busiest game of his collegiate career, making a career-best 43 saves in SMU’s 4-1 loss to seventh-ranked UW-Superior last Saturday.
 
For the season, Ruskowski has appeared in four of the team’s five games — including three starts — compiling a 3.19 goals-against-average and a .902 save percentage.
