Kubes kicked off the outdoor track and field season in style for the Cardinals, uncorking a throw of 49.27 meters to win the hammer throw at last Saturday’s WashU Invitational. The senior also chipped in an eighth-place effort in the discus with a mark of 11.53 meters.
